Shape recognition worksheets
Circle or color the circles, squares, triangles and rectangles hidden in each row.
Find the area of a triangle, parallelogram or trapezoid from its marked base and height.
Each shape is drawn to scale with its base or bases labeled and the height shown as a dashed line with a right-angle mark, so students pick the height and ignore the slanted side. Triangles may lean, with the height inside the base, and every area is a whole number.
Choose one shape or a mix, and the units. The solved example shows the formula with the numbers put in, and the answer key writes every area.
