Addition worksheets
Printable addition practice with control over digits, regrouping and layout.
Short stories with boxes to fill: each box is the result of an addition, subtraction, multiplication or division fact.
Each story has at most four sentences and one or two boxes. Students read the story, work out the fact it describes and write the result in the box. Early stories use words a beginning reader can sound out.
Choose adding, taking away, a mix of the two, equal groups (multiplying) or sharing (dividing), and the largest number that appears. The numbers always work: nothing is ever taken away from too few, and shares come out whole.
US Letter or A4, portrait: choose your paper size above. Print at 100 percent (actual size). Use "Black and white" for the copier, or "Color" for display pages and mini books.
