Each right triangle is drawn to scale with the right angle marked and two sides labeled. Students find the hypotenuse or a missing leg using a² + b² = c². Choose whole-number triples (3, 4, 5 and 5, 12, 13 and their multiples) or any lengths with the answer rounded to the nearest tenth, which are checked so that no rounding is a close call.
The triples version lists three numbers on each row. Students work out a² + b² and c², compare them, and circle Yes or No. Half the rows are real triples and half are near misses.
