Nouns, verbs and adjectives
Sort a word bank into naming words (nouns), action words (verbs) and describing words (adjectives).
Put the mixed-up words in order to make a sentence, then write it on the line.
Each sentence is cut into word tiles in a mixed-up order. The word with the capital letter starts the sentence and the word with the period or question mark ends it. Children put the words in order and write the sentence.
Choose short sentences for grades 1 and 2 or longer ones for grades 3 and 4, and how many sentences go on a page.
