Sorting and classifying shapes

Sort a group of shapes by one attribute: count each kind, or circle every shape that matches.

About this worksheet

A scattered group of shapes is sorted by one thing at a time: shape, color (shading in the black and white edition) or size. Children either count each kind and write the number in a box, or circle every shape that matches the words above the picture.

Every kind appears at least twice, and the other attributes change from shape to shape, so children have to look at one thing and ignore the rest. An adult can read the words aloud for the youngest children.

Printing
