Shape recognition worksheets
Circle or color the circles, squares, triangles and rectangles hidden in each row.
Move a triangle or quadrilateral on the coordinate plane and write the coordinates of its image.
A shape is drawn on a four-quadrant grid with its corners lettered. A rule says how to move it: translate by a number of units, reflect over the x-axis or y-axis, or rotate 90 degrees either way or 180 degrees about the origin. Students write the new coordinates of each corner.
Every image stays on the grid. Choose one kind of transformation or a mix, triangles or quadrilaterals, and the grid size. The answer key draws the image and writes its coordinates.
US Letter or A4, portrait: choose your paper size above. Print at 100 percent (actual size). Use "Black and white" for the copier, or "Color" for display pages and mini books.
