Shape recognition worksheets
Circle or color the circles, squares, triangles and rectangles hidden in each row.
Find the volume of a drawn box from its length, width and height, or find a missing edge.
Each box is drawn with its three edges labeled. Students multiply length, width and height to find the volume in cubic units. In the missing-edge version the volume is given and students find the edge marked with a question mark.
Turn on unit cubes to see every layer of small boxes, which makes the multiplication visible (these boxes are at most 6 units on an edge). Choose the units and how large the edges can be.
