Addition worksheets
Printable addition practice with control over digits, regrouping and layout.
Practice one number at a time (+7, +8), doubles, near doubles, or all the facts, with the sums kept as small as you like.
Pick one number to add, so students practice a single family such as "plus 7", or leave it on all numbers. Doubles (6 + 6) and near doubles (6 + 7) have their own settings, and you can keep every sum to 10, 12, 18 or 20.
The worked example uses the make-ten idea when it helps: 7 + 5 is 7 + 3 = 10 and 2 more. Choose "in order" for a family written the way it is chanted (7 + 0, 7 + 1, 7 + 2 and so on). There is a large-print version, and every version has an answer key.
US Letter or A4, portrait: choose your paper size above. Print at 100 percent (actual size). Use "Black and white" for the copier, or "Color" for display pages and mini books.
