Subtraction facts worksheets

Practice taking away one number at a time, or all the facts, with answers from 0 to 9 so each fact has a partner addition fact.

About this worksheet

Pick one number to take away, such as "minus 7", or leave it on all numbers. The biggest starting number can be 10, 12, 18 or 20, and every answer is between 0 and 9.

The worked example shows the partner fact: 11 − 7 = 4 because 7 + 4 = 11. Choose "in order" to get a family written out from the smallest start upwards. There is a large-print version, and every version has an answer key.

Printing

US Letter or A4, portrait: choose your paper size above. Print at 100 percent (actual size). Use "Black and white" for the copier, or "Color" for display pages and mini books.
