Each table has an In row and an Out row and follows one rule, such as adding 7, multiplying by 4, or multiplying by 3 and then subtracting 2. Choose whether students fill in the Out row, the In row, a mix of both, or write the rule. The In numbers go up in order, which makes it easy to see how the Out numbers change from one column to the next.
