Number bonds and complements
Pairs that make 10, 20, 100 or 1000 (and the 9s, 99s and 999s), as missing-number sums or as subtraction.
Read whole numbers on both sides of zero from a number line, or plot them, on lines from −5 to 5 up to −50 to 50.
Negative numbers are placed on a line that runs in both directions from zero. Children either write the number that each lettered point shows, or draw a dot at each given number and label it with its letter.
Choose the range (−5 to 5, −10 to 10, −20 to 20 or −50 to 50) and how many points are on each line. On the longer lines only some marks are numbered, so children count along the marks to find the rest. Every sheet has a solved example and an answer key.
