Number line worksheets: missing numbers

Write the missing numbers on a number line that counts by 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10.

About this worksheet

Each line has marks with most of the numbers printed and a few left blank. Children write the missing numbers in the boxes. Counting by 1 gives the classic number line to 10, 15 or 20 for the youngest children. Counting by 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 turns the same page into skip counting on a number line.

Choose the step, how many marks the line has, and whether it starts at zero or at another multiple of the step (for example 30, 35, 40 when counting by 5). You can leave out up to six numbers per line. Every sheet has a solved example and an answer key.
