Fraction pictures: bars and circles
Write the fraction shown on a bar or circle, or color in the fraction named, with denominators from 2 to 12.
Color every square equal to a target fraction, written as fractions, decimals and percents, to reveal a picture.
A grid of fractions, decimals and percents hides a picture. Students color only the squares equal to the target fraction, for example 3/4, 0.75 and 75%. Squares that are not equal are near misses, such as 7/10 or 57%.
Switch to fractions only for a first pass at equivalent fractions. The picture is a built-in check and the answer key shows it.
