About halves, thirds and fourths

Four kinds of page build the idea of equal shares. Color one half, one third or one fourth of a shape; circle the shape that is cut into equal parts (the other one has parts of different sizes); count the equal parts a shape is cut into; or circle the words that name the colored part.

Keep it to halves, add fourths, or add thirds too. Shapes can be circles, rectangles, squares or a mix. Every cut is exact, so equal parts really are equal. Read the instruction aloud with younger children.

Printing

US Letter or A4, portrait: choose your paper size above. Print at 100 percent (actual size). Use "Black and white" for the copier, or "Color" for display pages and mini books.
