Each set of numbers has a whole-number mean and a mean absolute deviation that is a whole number or has one decimal place. Students find the mean, write how far each number is from it, add the distances and divide by how many numbers there are.
Boxes under each number guide the steps, so students can see where a mistake happened. The answer key fills every box.
