Find and color sight words
A grid of look-alike words: color every box with the sight word and count them.
Word searches for sight words, phonics patterns and ten topics, with every word hidden exactly once.
Pick a word list (Dolch sight words, short and long vowel words, sh, ch, th and wh words, or a topic such as animals or weather), the grid size and the directions. Easy grids hide words across and down; harder ones add slanted and backwards words.
Every word in the list appears in the grid exactly once, and the answer key shows where. Children tick each word off the list as they find it.
US Letter or A4, portrait: choose your paper size above. Print at 100 percent (actual size). Use "Black and white" for the copier, or "Color" for display pages and mini books.
